Sometime ago this section had "I spend the weekdays in front of a computer and travel on weekends. A rather monotonous life."

It's not changed much since then, except for the weekend travel bit has gone to a record low. I need to fix that. I moved to the San Francisco bay area in the August of 2007 and work for the same company I started off with in December of 2002.

Most (all?) of my public posts are photographs from my travels and I mostly travel to places where there are few people. I shoot birds, mammals, insects, trees, lakes, mountains and such. I use a Nikon D300 with the following lenses:
NIKKOR 10.5mm f/2.8G ED AF DX
    NIKKOR 17-55mm f/2.8G IF-ED AF-S DX
    NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8D AF
    NIKKOR 300mm f/4D IF-ED AF-S
    AF-S Teleconverter TC-14E II
    AF-S Teleconverter TC-20E II

Some of the earlier photographs are mostly shot using a Nikon D70. The list of lenses I've had in the past include: Nikkor 18-70mm, Sigma 105mm macro and Sigma 170-500mm. I also have a HD camcorder that I use infrequently - a Canon VIXIA HG10. Other cool stuff I use for photography are a cheap tripod, a Garmin GPSMap 60CSx for geocoding photographs and a Nikon SB800 AF Speedlight.

I have a website that I don't update often. Most photographs on this journal go to my Flickr page as well.
