Painted Stork  
This one is a large beautiful bird with a bright orange beak and a predominantly white body and long legs (typical of all storks). I somehow got too close to it and as a result could only get his head in the frame. And a dark background completely out of focus helped me get this studio-like setting in the wild. I still don't know how I managed to get a stable photograph like this inspite of being on a boat.

Dont remember exactly how far I was, but about 20-30 feet probably. Actually, I was much closer to the sparrow (about 10 feet). :)

20 or 30 feet only, how do you manage to stand so close to them and not scare them away? I know they all like you by now:-)

Also I suppose you are using a 300mm zoom atleast for that shot?
