The trip to Bandipur and Ooty
This entry is long overdue but guess that's ok. My product manager was visiting India for the first time from the US and since he was going be here only on one Sunday he wanted to make the most of it and travel around the country side. And since he was into nature and wildlife, I was assigned (rather I volunteered ;-) to take him around.

The plan was simple, he arrives in India at 12am and 3am we are driving towards Mysore. At dawn, we hit mysore and then left towards Bandipur where we had our breakfast and after a tricky hour and a half drive we were in Ooty, right on time for lunch. We went around Ooty for a few hours and after lunch headed back to Bandipur in time for the evening safari. We were lucky enough to see two herds of elephants, lots of spotted deer and Sambar, a solitary gaur and as usual hundreds of birds. Unfortunately, we could not spot any of the felines again and though I dont seem to have luck with that, I've not run out of patience yet.
