More Birds
I know I've not posted many photographs of the big game - the reason most people go to East Africa in the first place, but I had fun shooting birds after a really long time and it was fun processing them. Here are a few more birds from the plains of the Serengeti.

Yellow-throated Sandgrouse

Black-headed Heron

D'Arnaud's Barbet

Hildebrandt's Starling

Rüppell's Long-tailed Starling

Blue-eared Starling

Superb Starling

> The colors are so exotic, wish I could get them in cloth. :)

That's exactly how clothes sourced from animal fur came into being perhaps? Or maybe even the origins of clothes are with a statement like that when a caveman's wife decided to redefine fashion by wearing fur unlike the most commonly believed reason that humans started wearing clothes to protect themselves from weather? ;-)

Perhaps it is the reason for the need of fashion to kill animals and wear their skins.

But, I would rather have the colors replicated in artificial cloth than skin these animals. *smirks, then thinking hard* I can imagine the colors so clearly in my mind and the type of material too. For instance the colors on Super Starling I can imagine the yellow on a silky odhni, the black for the semi-cotton blouse and the blue colors to a semi-cotton lehanga. Or the colors of D'Arnaud's Barbet can be seen on a cream colored satin skirt with black spots, hmm...let's see a full umbrella or may be an A-line cut. Ooh! I can almost feel it.

*blinking back* Aah imagination at it's best! :D
