Evening walk
Finally, some time to go out and I took a quick walk around the Palo Alto baylands. Some nice fresh air and of course, some birds.

Road runner? California gull running on the road

Lesser Scaup

Mallard (female) landing

Juvenile Black-crowned Night heron landing

Egret at dusk

Nice..I'd planned to go out this morning, but it's just too rainy, chilly and windy :(

that female mallard landing...looks as if it is conducting the orchestra that the waves are performing!

thank you....

Fabulous pictures but the one of the Night Heron landing is awesome. (I get the funny feeling that you are going to end up here in America!)

Oh oh. Why's that?

Though, I seriously doubt if I can ever push myself to live so far away from home for more than a few weeks. :)

If your company values you enough to bring you over here twice then you are probably the type of employee they would like to keep here on a full time basis. Not all, but quite a few, of our young people don't really have a very strong work ethic....they just go to work to get a paycheck. It drives the rest of us crazy. You're right, though, it would be really hard to be that far away from family.
