What would you want to do when you see pristine forest cover like this?

Fly like the swifts. :)

Just sit there and watch for hours together.

I second that!! :)

That's an awesome option. I did just that for sometime on this trip. :)
Vyshnavivyshnavi on November 28th, 2005 08:41 am (UTC)
Wow. Sounds peaceful. :)

time for you to get one of those biggie lenses. Sigma 300-800? :)
Yathinyathin on November 28th, 2005 04:43 am (UTC)
No zoom lenses for me. :)

purist lah. buy only prime lens wan. haha.

500mm Nikkor, with a 2x telecon.
Yathinyathin on November 28th, 2005 07:44 am (UTC)
Not a Purist, in fact I'm not a photographer at all. All I want is good sharp images of the birds and animals and most zooms fail to do that. I'll post some images of birds I took during this trip with Nikon D2X, Nikon 600mm with 2x telephoto and then you'll know why I prefer telephotos! ;)
arucard2 on November 28th, 2005 10:03 am (UTC)
I should put a smiley in front of my comments, or a wink, just so that people know I am kidding.

I prefer to buy zooms with a constant aperture, they seem to perform better. No tele for me though, way too out of my league. you have a D2X. :O
Yathinyathin on November 28th, 2005 10:06 am (UTC)
No. Not my D2X. My friend was using Nikon D2X, Nikon 600mm f/4D and Nikon TC2.0 IIe. I just shot a couple of photographs with that setup. :D

D2x at 2x mode * 2x * 600mm = voyeur class equipment. :) :P

do we have an option but to say "click click!!"?
but nonetheless beautiful :)
Yathinyathin on November 28th, 2005 07:48 am (UTC)
"click click" is secondary ...
Praveenpraveenk on November 28th, 2005 06:27 am (UTC)
Click :)
ashbirderashbirder on November 28th, 2005 06:50 am (UTC)

cool :D I find it hard to watch these through binocs & you've got them on camera!
Yathinyathin on November 28th, 2005 07:49 am (UTC)
That's because you dont use Autofocus binocs! ;)

Fly, oh, yes, fly and feel the wind push me toward the mountain tops, hear the song as the currents of air strum my feathers, dip and spin and dive down, down until the warm air lifts me once again. What great photos...you truly carried me away this morning!!

Wish I could do that too, soar through the skies over the western ghats. Even with the truck traffic it is a pleasure driving through these ghats.
