I was hoping to add a few more bird species to my list during my first visit to north India, but that was not to be. Anyways, I found these babblers to be very bold there, the ones we get here in the south are very shy and dive into the thickets or fly away as soon as they see someone approaching them.

Ornithologists have written many research papers on it's social behaviour... a very interesting bird this one.

Think I need to upgrade my software which wont allow me to put in the exif info into it :(

Anyways, the camera is Nikon d70, the lens Nikon 300mm f/4D, aperture mode at f4. :)

And yes, I believe now I have made sure that the next time he is around NYC, he won't convienently "forget" his old pals in NJ.
