Evenings at Kabini
Kabini is probably the best place on earth to spend an evening. The beautiful green grass divided by the winding river, elephants and gaur and deer grazing, water birds flying, soothing bird songs from the thick forests nearby. Ah, it's an amazing experience - you have to be there to believe it.

A magical evening at Kabini.

The great cross-tusked bull. Always seen feeding on the lush green grass.

The king of the backwaters.

Nice pics. It's a totally different view of what I have about my trips. I stop at Kamat every time and have not even opened my camera there. And I rarely unpack the stuff before I hit the forest. :D

Small correction on your site. This is a sambar male: (Nilgai are not found in South.)

Nopes. They are cormorants. Very common water birds - you see them around bangalore lakes as well.

Heh! For such large animals they have a really sad looking face. The one above looks like he is in mourning;-)
