Are the rocks so orangish?

Is it allowed to camp there anywhere one may wish or just in a special camp sites?

There are TONS of camping sites. Wilderness camping is allowed as well, but you need to get permission from ranger (which is easy to get)

how do you always get the backgrounds/the scenery framing the birds so perfect?? the black against the orange is such a perfect contrast. the grouse is set perfectly too among the branches of similar color as the bird, with a little splash of fire in the grass...

oh but, is there some confusion among the squirrels? they can't both be gold-mounted ground squirrels? or is the little one "praying" to become one? :-)

the way i see it, all the credit goes to the subjects. Something that takes a fraction of a second to make can't take much credit from something that took billions, millions and thousands of years to form!

how do you know how many birds/mammals i missed out on photographing? :D I see about 75-80% more wildlife than I photograph and less than 50% of those photographed are decent. That's a small, small fraction of wildlife I come across. Some are easier to photograph than others since they are used to humans or naturally bold or prefer habitats that are make them more approachable.

I did think they were different when I processed my photographs, but they are clearly not chipmunks and with stripes on their back, they can only be gold-mantled ground squirrels.

great photos, I love them. I do think the squirrel that is "making fun of you" looks a lot like a chipmunk.

well, the ones you choose to display here are always perfect, and for that you HAVE TO take the credit. :-)

Nopes, the animals have to credit for being there. I don't control location, light and actions of these creatures to get the perfect snap, do I? :-)

i'll cram the credit down your throat whether you like it or not! :-) the animals don't know how, where or when to pose, but you know how to shoot them and then select the perfect ones, or edit/crop the ones that are good enough to become perfect, and then you let us see them. that's all YOUR doing.

but ok, thank you NATURE for putting the animals and the landscapes in front of yathin's lens. and thank you for evolving homo sapiens into homo sapiens nikon. :-)

What kind of camera do you use? I'm planning a trip around the US and hope to take pictures even half as good as yours.
