Squirrels at Rivendell...
So clear and beautiful, Yathin! Thank you so much for posting these. I love it that one has a short fluffy tail and one has a long less-fluffy tail. And the yawn!

The series of photos is almost like a picture story.
These squirrels don't have the three line stripe on their backs! Are they a different sub-species or something?
By their antics they look very similar to the ones that run around my place :)
ps: There is a mythological story(from Ramayana) on how they got the stripes... Maybe their forefathers did not help out Rama :P

These are different species compared to what striped squirrels we get in Indian cities. These are Western Gray squirrels which and are about the size of house cats nose to tail!
Just incredible. Ever consider becoming a professional photographer? Or just a hobby so far?
It's fun as long as it's a hobby. No pressure to shoot, to get it right or even worry about what to shoot! :)
