From my archives
I was re-living my fantastic summer vacation last year and came by an interesting image. I wonder how I overlooked this...

India Wild Dog (Cuon alpinus) in the rain, sitting on a burnt forest floor.

Two ants attacking a turtle-shelled beetle

A pair of damsel flys

A friendly dragon-fly

Nice pics.
Is that beetle alive?

Re: Nice pics.
Yep, it lived on. The ants found something easier just a little later...

Re: Nice pics.
Oh Good. But can't the beetle fight back? It surely looks bigger than the ants.

Re: Nice pics.
Yep, I don't know why it didn't try to fly away ... even after the ants lost interest, it remained on the ground and walked away. Strange.

Re: Nice pics.
Maybe it was injured or old, if not maybe the ants wouldn't have attempted that stunt;-) You know we used to have hundreds of tiny ants in our house over everything EXCEPT the sugar jar. Possibly they considered that as a strategic reserve or something. However after a recent visit from the pest control guy no more ants.

Wow insects too sure look pretty. I liked the red and black body of the dragon fly.
I feel bad for the beetle. Poor guy.

The dog looks so thoughtful as if its contemplating something deep.

Probably, you might want to send your picture to the web-site's owner for publishing it on the web-site.
